4 Hours
Sea Trips
8 persons
Hurghada
The difference between this and every other snorkeling trip in Hurghada is that the boat is yours. Up to eight people, four hours, and no fixed itinerary imposed on you by twenty strangers who all want something different.
A speedboat also changes what is reachable. Large snorkeling boats take an hour to get anywhere; this one gets you to the same reefs in a fraction of the time, which means the four hours are spent in the water rather than travelling to it.
You discuss the route with your skipper before departure. Most groups combine two or three reef stops with an island landing, and some ask to look for dolphins along the way. If you want to stay an extra half hour at a reef everyone likes, you simply stay - that is the point of a private boat.
Snorkeling equipment, life jackets, soft drinks, bottled water, fruit and snacks are all on board.
Spinner dolphins live along this coast and are seen regularly, but they are wild animals and no boat can promise you a sighting. Anyone who does is selling you something they cannot deliver. If we find them, your skipper will approach quietly and let them decide - chasing a pod is both pointless and harmful.
Swimwear, towels, reef-safe sunscreen, hats and a dry bag. There is limited shade on a speedboat, and four hours of direct sun on open water is more than most people expect.
$183 per person (regular price $220), including the private boat, skipper, snorkeling equipment, life jackets, soft drinks, water, fruit and snacks.
