Solo Parasailing in Hurghada (Single Flight)

This is the solo version. One harness, one canopy, and nobody sitting next to you - which for some people is the entire appeal, and for others is the reason to book the tandem flight instead.

You reach 40 to 50 meters, roughly the height of a fifteen-storey building, and stay there for 10 to 13 minutes. From that altitude the reef structure offshore becomes visible as dark shapes in the turquoise, and Hurghada's coastline reads as one long ribbon of hotels against the desert behind it.

No training required

There is nothing to learn. You are strapped into a harness on the boat's platform, the line pays out, and you rise. The crew controls everything from the deck. Your only job is to sit back - and if you want a slightly wilder ride, ask the captain for a few dips before you launch.

Safety

The crew running these flights hold CPR and Advanced First Aid certification, and the parasailing equipment is inspected and certified on a regular schedule. Flights are cancelled when the wind is wrong, and that decision is not negotiable - we would rather rebook you than launch in conditions we do not like.

Good to know before you book

• The whole outing takes about an hour, with a maximum of 15 people per session. Private transport to the marina is included, along with all fees and taxes.
• Transfers from Makadi and Sahl Hasheesh carry a $5 per person supplement; from Safaga, El Gouna and Soma Bay it is $10.
• A photo session is available on request at extra cost. Worth considering - you cannot take your own pictures while flying.
• A 10-minute Adrenaline Twister speedboat ride can be added on the day for $10 per person.
• Sunglasses need a strap. Anything loose in a pocket will end up in the sea.

Tandem or single?

If you are nervous, fly tandem - having someone beside you genuinely helps, and we run that version too. If you want the sky to yourself, this is the one.
