Hurghada to Sahl Hasheesh Transfer

Sahl Hasheesh is roughly 25 km south of Hurghada, a purpose-built bay of resorts around a long crescent beach. The drive takes about half an hour on the coast road.

It is a short journey and an easy one, but it is exactly the kind of trip where an unbooked taxi costs three or four times what it should - the resorts are isolated, the drivers know it, and there is no meter to appeal to.

• Give us your hotel name. Sahl Hasheesh is spread along the bay and the resorts at either end are a long way apart.
• Book both directions if you are going into Hurghada for the evening. Finding a car back to Sahl Hasheesh late at night is harder and more expensive than arranging it in advance.
• Child seats on request, with notice.
