Luxor to Hurghada Transfer

This is the classic Egyptian itinerary in its natural order - temples first, then the sea - and it is a journey much better made in your own vehicle than on a shared coach that leaves when it is full rather than when you are ready.

Timing

If you have a flight out of Hurghada, tell us the time and we will work backwards: three hours at the airport for an international departure, plus four hours of driving, plus margin. We will suggest a pickup rather than let you cut it fine.

If you are travelling to a hotel rather than the airport, an early start is still worth it - arriving with daylight left means you get an afternoon by the sea rather than a hotel check-in in the dark.

• Tell us whether you are on the East or West Bank, or which cruise ship and mooring.
• Take water and snacks. The desert road has few stops.
• Child seats on request with advance notice.
• Give us your Hurghada destination so the driver knows which part of the strip he is heading for.
