Hurghada Airport Transfer to Soma Bay

Soma Bay lies about 45 km south of Hurghada on its own peninsula, roughly 50 minutes from the airport by road. It is a self-contained resort area rather than a town, which is exactly why people choose it - and also why arriving without a pre-booked car is awkward.

Why booking ahead matters here

There is no taxi rank at Soma Bay and very little passing traffic. Transport in and out has to be arranged, so a car waiting for you at the airport removes the single most common arrival problem for this stretch of coast.

What you get

A private air-conditioned vehicle for your group alone - up to 4 passengers and 5 pieces of luggage - with a driver who meets you inside the arrivals hall holding a name sign. The road south runs along the coast and the drive is easy and comfortable.

Good to know

• Send your flight number when you book. We track it, so a late arrival does not lose you the car or cost extra.
• Soma Bay is a golf and kitesurfing destination - if you are travelling with clubs or a board bag, tell us and we will send a vehicle that fits them properly.
• Book your return to the airport at the same time. It is genuinely difficult to arrange transport out of Soma Bay at short notice.
• Child seats on request, with advance notice.
• Day trips into Hurghada, or to the tours we run from there, can be arranged separately - just ask.
