Good to know before you book

• Give us the exact destination - a lodge on the lake, the city, or one of the desert camps. They are a long way apart and the final stretch differs completely.
• Some of the Wadi El Rayan and Wadi El Hitan roads need a 4x4. A standard transfer takes you to your accommodation; tell us if you need desert-capable transport and we will quote it separately.
• Leave early to get past Cairo before the traffic builds.
• Take water and food for the road.
• Child seats available on request with advance notice.
