Hurghada Airport Transfer to Abu Dabab

Abu Dabab is a bay north of Marsa Alam, about 240 km and three hours south of Hurghada Airport, and it is known for one thing above all others: dugongs. The seagrass meadow in the bay is a feeding ground, and it is one of the few places in the world where you have a realistic chance of snorkeling near one.

Green turtles graze the same meadow, and they are seen far more often than the dugongs.

Please, when you get in the water

Dugongs are endangered and easily driven off a feeding ground. Do not chase, touch, crowd or block one, and never get between an animal and the surface - both dugongs and turtles have to breathe. Keep several meters back, stay still, and let them decide how close they come. Guests who follow that advice generally get the best encounters anyway.
