Aswan to Hurghada Transfer

Aswan to Hurghada is the longest single leg we run inside Egypt - roughly 700 km and around eight hours, north through the Nile Valley and then east across the Eastern Desert to the coast.

Who books it

Almost always people finishing a Nile cruise. You disembark at Aswan, and rather than backtracking to Luxor for a flight or waiting for a domestic connection, one car takes you and your luggage straight to your Red Sea hotel.

What you get

A private air-conditioned vehicle for your group alone, up to 3 passengers with room for 5 pieces of luggage, and a driver who runs long-distance routes regularly.

Making eight hours work

• Leave early. A dawn departure means arriving in daylight rather than finding an unfamiliar hotel after dark.
• Take more water than you think you need, plus food. There are stops, but they are spread out.
• Tell your driver at the start how often you want to break. He will stop as often as you like.
• If your group includes small children or anyone who struggles with long journeys, consider splitting the trip with a night in Luxor. Ask us and we will quote it that way instead.

Good to know

• Give us your cruise ship name and mooring, or the exact hotel, for the pickup.
• Tell us your Hurghada destination - the hotel strip is long.
• Child seats available on request with advance notice.
