Private Fishing Boat Charter in Hurghada

This is the private version: your own boat, your own group of up to eight, and a full day on the water rather than a shared trip run to somebody else's schedule.

You are collected from your hotel in Hurghada in the morning and taken to the boat. From there the day belongs to you - out past the small islands off the coast, stopping where the skipper reckons the fishing will be good and staying as long as it stays good.

Why charter privately

Fishing rewards patience and flexibility, and neither survives a shared boat. On a charter you can spend two hours working one mark, move because somebody has a feeling about a different spot, or stop fishing entirely for an hour and swim. Groups travelling together get a considerably better day for a per-person cost that compares well once the boat is filled.

The fishing

Depending on season and conditions, the Red Sea here produces barracuda, trevally, snapper, grouper and mackerel. Bottom fishing and trolling are both common. Nobody can promise a catch - conditions, season and luck all have a say - but a skipper who fishes these waters daily improves your odds considerably.

Good to know

• The charter is a full day for a maximum of 8 people.
• Bring a hat, sunglasses with a strap, high-factor sunscreen and a long-sleeved shirt. Glare off open water burns people who thought they were being careful.
• Bring plenty of drinking water.
• Take seasickness tablets before boarding if you are unsure - once you are out, it is too late.
• Tell us in advance if you would like your catch cleaned, and we will arrange it.
