The Sea Scope sits low in the water with an observation deck below the surface. You take a swiveling chair in front of a large panoramic window, in air conditioning, and the reef passes outside the glass at eye level.
It is the simplest answer to a common problem: half your group wants to snorkel and half does not want to get in the sea at all. This trip serves both without anyone compromising.
Hard and soft coral, and the reef fish that live in it - butterflyfish, angelfish, parrotfish, sergeant majors, and often a moray wedged into a crevice. The windows are large enough to film and photograph through, and everyone has their own seat, so nobody is looking over a shoulder.
This matters and we will keep saying it. Coral is a colony of living animals, not rock. Touching it damages the tissue and standing on it kills decades of growth in one step. If you use the snorkeling stop, float, look, and keep your fins clear of everything.
The trip lasts around 2 hours. Snorkeling equipment and a life jacket are included, and there is one short snorkeling stop for anyone who wants to get in the water. The cabin is fully air-conditioned and covered, which makes this one of the more comfortable options in high summer.
Families with small children, older travelers, non-swimmers, and anyone who wants to see the Red Sea properly without a mask on their face.
$16 per person (regular price $18), including the trip, snorkeling equipment, life jacket and free transfers within Sahl Hasheesh.
