Daily Two-Dive Boat Trip from Hurghada

No course, no certification, no ceremony - this is simply the daily dive boat, and for a lot of divers it is the best value on the coast. Two dives at two different sites, run by people who do this every day and know which reef will be sheltered when the wind turns.

The shape of the day

Pickup from your hotel in a private air-conditioned vehicle, on the boat by 8:30, back at your hotel around 3:30. On the way to the first site the instructor briefs the day's diving - the sites, the depths, the plan.

First dive. Then lunch on board and a surface interval of one to two hours, which is long enough to dry off, eat properly and let your body offgas before you get back in. Then the second dive at a different site, and the run home.

All dive equipment is included, along with an instructor, lunch and drinks.

Which sites you will dive

That depends on the wind, and it should. Any operator who promises you specific sites regardless of conditions is either lucky or lying. The crew picks from the reefs and drop-offs north and south of Hurghada based on what will be calm and clear on the morning you sail.

Good to know before you book

• Bring your certification card and logbook.
• If you have not dived in over a year, mention it when booking and we will arrange a refresher.
• The group is capped at 30. Nitrox is available if you are certified for it - ask when you book.
• Transfers are included from hotels inside Hurghada; a $5 per person supplement applies from Makadi, Sahl Hasheesh, El Ahyaa, El Gouna and Soma Bay.
• Photography and video services are not included.
• Do not fly within 24 hours of diving.

What to bring

Your own mask if you have one - a mask that fits your face properly is the single biggest comfort difference, and rental masks are a compromise. A towel, sunscreen and a warm layer for the ride back. Everything else is provided.
