Enriched air - nitrox, or EANx - simply contains more oxygen and less nitrogen than the air you normally breathe underwater. Less nitrogen absorbed means longer no-decompression limits and shorter surface intervals. On a two-dive day that difference is real, and on a liveaboard week it is enormous.
This is the most popular PADI specialty in the world for exactly that reason, and it is one of the few that does not necessarily require you to get wet to complete.
You learn how oxygen exposure works and why it sets its own limits, how to analyze a cylinder yourself rather than trusting a label, how to set your dive computer for the correct mix, and how to plan a dive with enriched air tables. The analyzing is the part that matters most: you will be taught never to dive a tank you have not personally checked.
Your instructor works with you throughout, and all dive equipment and nitrox fills are included in the price.
PADI learning materials and the certification card are not included and cost 80€, payable separately. We would rather tell you this now than have you discover it on the day. Everything else - instructor time, equipment, nitrox and transfers within Hurghada - is covered by the price shown.
$45 per person (regular price $50), plus 80€ for PADI materials and certification.
