Terms & Conditions

These are the terms you agree to when you book a tour, excursion or transfer with MC Travel Hurghada. They are written to be read. If anything is unclear, ask us before you book — we would rather explain it now than argue about it later.

Last updated: 22 July 2026

1. Who you are contracting with

Your booking is with MC Travel Hurghada, a tour operator registered with the Egyptian Tax Authority under activity code 7912, tax registration 667-725-962, with its office at Al Kawther, Hurghada, Red Sea Governorate, Egypt.

In these terms, "we" and "us" mean MC Travel Hurghada; "you" means the person making the booking and everyone travelling on it.

2. Making a booking

  • A booking is confirmed when we confirm it to you in writing — by email or WhatsApp. A request submitted on the website is not confirmed until we reply.
  • Please book at least one day before the trip. We need that time to confirm your pickup with the boat or driver.
  • You must be 18 or over to make a booking. If you book for others, you are responsible for the accuracy of their details and for passing this information on to them.
  • Tell us at the time of booking about any medical condition, disability, pregnancy, dietary requirement or mobility need that could affect the trip. We will tell you honestly whether it is suitable.

3. Prices and what is included

  • Prices are shown per person in US dollars unless stated otherwise on the trip page.
  • What is and is not included is listed on every trip page. Read it before you book. Common exclusions are national park fees, island entry tickets, photography services, and transfer supplements from resorts outside Hurghada.
  • Prices can change, but the price we confirm to you is the price you pay. We will not increase it after confirmation.
  • Third parties may charge fees on the day — for example island entry or national park admission. Where we know of these, they are stated on the trip page.

4. Payment

  • Most trips are paid in cash when we collect you. We take no deposit and no card details to reserve a place.
  • Where online payment is offered, it is processed by Paymob. We never see or store your card details.
  • Payment is due in full before or at the start of the trip unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.

5. Changes and cancellation

Our cancellation and refund terms are set out in full on the Cancellation & Refund Policy page, which forms part of these terms. In summary:

  • You can cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before the trip.
  • If we cancel — for weather, safety or insufficient numbers — you choose between an alternative date or a full refund.

6. Your responsibilities

  • Be ready at the agreed pickup time. Boats and groups cannot wait. If you are not at your hotel reception when the driver arrives and we cannot reach you, the trip is treated as a no-show.
  • Give us a working phone number and the correct hotel name, including the area.
  • Follow the safety instructions given by the crew, guide, instructor or driver at all times.
  • Bring the documents a trip requires — a passport for the crossing to Jordan, a certification card and logbook for diving.
  • Behave in a way that does not endanger or seriously inconvenience other guests or staff. We may end your participation without refund if you do not, and we will tell you why.

7. Health, fitness and safety

  • Some trips involve physical activity, open water, heat, uneven ground or long days. The requirements are described on each trip page — read them and be honest with yourself.
  • Diving activities require you to declare medical conditions truthfully. If you are unsure, get a diving medical before you travel.
  • Do not fly within 24 hours of diving. Plan your diving early in your stay.
  • We may refuse participation on safety grounds if a condition was not declared or if someone is unfit to take part on the day. Where that is our judgement and not your non-disclosure, we will refund you.

8. Trips operated by our partners

We arrange some experiences with specialist operators — for example the balloon flight over Luxor, the boat crossing to Jordan, and certain dive centres. Those operators have their own safety procedures and operating conditions.

We remain your point of contact throughout. If something goes wrong, contact us and we will deal with it, whoever was running the activity on the day.

9. Our responsibility, and its limits

  • We are responsible for arranging the services we have confirmed to you, and for doing so with reasonable skill and care.
  • We are not responsible for events outside our reasonable control — weather, sea conditions, port or road closures, strikes, government decisions, or the acts of third parties we do not control. Where such an event stops a trip, the cancellation policy applies.
  • We are not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings, including phones and cameras taken onto boats or into the desert. Take a dry bag.
  • Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
  • If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK, you keep all the rights your local consumer law gives you. Nothing here reduces them.

10. Travel insurance

We strongly recommend that you hold travel insurance covering medical treatment, repatriation, cancellation and your belongings. If you are diving, check that your policy covers it — many standard policies do not, and specialist dive insurance is inexpensive.

11. Photography

Guides and crews sometimes take photographs on trips. If you would prefer not to appear in any image we use, tell us on the day and we will respect that. Photography and video are not included in trip prices unless stated.

12. If something goes wrong

Tell us while you are still here. Almost everything can be fixed on the day or the next one, and almost nothing can be fixed after you have flown home.

  • Speak to your guide, driver or crew first — they can often resolve it immediately.
  • If not, message us on WhatsApp at +20 102 525 7272 or email info@mctravelhurghada.com.
  • We will acknowledge a written complaint within 7 days and give you a full reply within 28 days.

13. Your personal information

How we collect and use your data is set out in our Privacy Policy.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by Egyptian law, and the courts of Egypt have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident in the EU or the UK, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer rules of the country where you live.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your booking is the one published when we confirmed it. The date at the top shows the current version.
